Variable gears are for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles rather than by the artifice of a derailleur? We are getting soft. Give me a fixed gear. Henri Desgrange, Founder of the Tour de France, 1903
The Surly Stainless Steel Splined Single Speed Cogs are sweet. Someone finally took Chris King's great idea (not sure if it was really his idea, but they're the only ones we sell and that we know of that mass produce these things) and took it to Taiwan. These cogs are similar to the Kings in that they have a slightly larger base to them, which means that they won't dig into your freehub body like the cheap Novatec or Shimano cogs. Lots of tooth combinations. The base on these cogs are 4.5mm wide. Dang thats HOT. They are also offset for better chain alignment.
